Selecting an Agency

You want an agency that will provide your company with results and yet be responsible and professional. Normally taking the agency that will provide you with the lowest contingency rate is not the correct answer. Remember the old adage "you get what you pay for".

Many agencies will run the numbers to get the easy money and pass by other opportunities to recover more of your money

Your collection agency should be technologically advanced so that your accounts can be handled efficiently. Do you have a large volume of accountants where the dollar balances are not that large? Then your agency should have a dialer to handle the volume since many small balance accounts will not be pursued with litigation. Your agency should have the ability to have many steps of the collection process automated. Can they batch skip-tracing information, credit bureau reporting and retrievals? Do they print letters in-house and if so is the folding and stuffing automated? Do they outsource some tasks?

Your agency should have simple tasks that do not require a personal touch - automated so much more time can be spent where it is important. They should have a professional and experienced staff so you know your account will be handled correctly.
